To the Editor:
The Westerlo Hometown Heroes Banner Committee invites the community to join us for a Hilltown community barbecue honoring veterans who have served and are currently serving in our armed forces.

The Hilltown community is invited to celebrate the veterans on Saturday, June 12, 2021. The event will take place at the Westerlo Town Park at 1 p.m. 

We will gather together to celebrate our country's freedom and honor the service and sacrifice of those who have served and are currently serving. 

The afternoon will feature a free chicken barbecue dinner by BBQ Delights and entertainment by a live band, “Inner-bred Chicken Herders.”

While the Westerlo Hometown Banner Committee usually hosts a closing ceremony in November, we were unable to do that this past year, so we decided to add this summer celebration. The committee still plans on a ceremony this coming November.

Please join us and show your support for our veterans! Everyone is welcome.
