Join us for a Ramble in the Huyck Preserve

To the Editor:

Ramblers will again populate the bucolic woodland canopy of the Huyck Preserve in Rensselaerville, on June 15 at 9 a.m., to raise funds for the Edmund Niles Huyck Preserve and the Rensselaerville Library.

Walkers and runners will have three choices of 2-, 5-, and 8-mile, marked trails, to enjoy throughout the forest. The cool Ramble course meanders through the hill and features many creeks, trickles, and water features to inspire you on your trek.

The event, led by race director Linda Styer, will again be located at the Research Station at 284 Pond Hill Road in Rensselaerville. It is supported by local musicians, businesses, and individuals alike.

We invite you to register as a team or as an individual for our fourth annual Ramble. Dozens of volunteers, and first responders will be on hand to assist you on the trails. Families are encouraged to enter and everyone will enjoy a variety of light foods and baked goods from the kitchens of Ramble Bakers.

Many local businesses and individuals sponsor this race, as well as teams from Middleburgh, Greenville, and Berne Knox Westerlo schools. If you would like to sponsor the race, or a team, please contact me, Tim Lippert, at 518-339-6030 or go to www.rensselaervilleramble.weebly.com.
