Grange seeks donations for garage sale

To the Editor:

Downsizing, spring cleaning, moving, or just plain old decluttering? We have a new home for your used items, gently-used items, or new items.

We’re looking for donations for our garage sale. We’re accepting items from the public for our sale.  We’re also accepting houseplants and outdoor plants. Bethlehem Grange 137 is holding a garage sale on Friday and Saturday, June 7 and 8, and the following Friday and Saturday, June 14 and 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. all days. There will also be a sale of indoor and outdoor plants.

We’re accepting small furniture, wooden furniture, housewares, linens, holiday items, craft items, fabric, yarn, sewing accessories, sewing notions, records, toys, bicycles, games, puzzles, books, tools, clothing (in good condition), dishes, glassware, CDs, DV's, cassettes, bakeware, small appliances, cookware, outdoor or patio furniture, folding chairs, indoor house plants, cuttings of house plants, outdoor plants, and garden plants.

Bethlehem Grange 137 is a not-for-profit organization, and is one of the oldest Granges in the nation, at 145 years old. The sale proceeds go for maintenance of our historic building, which is on the National Historic Register of Historic Places. The proceeds also go toward our community-service projects. Also, anything unsold is donated to other organizations, based on their current needs.

We’re also looking for some vendors to market their products, outside of our Grange building, during our garage sales. For more details or for pricing, call Charles Ryan at 518-227-8954.

To arrange for delivery or pickup, call me, Carol Carpenter, 518-438-8862 at home or on my cellphone at 518-421-1384, or call Vernon Starr at 518-567-4294, or Charles Ryan at 518-227-8954.

Thank you for your assistance!
