Public Hearing
The Town Board of the Town of New Scotland will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at 6:00 PM, at the New Scotland Town Hall, 2029 New Scotland Road, Slingerlands NY regarding Proposed Local Law F of 2017, a law: 1) amending the Town of New Scotland Zoning Map, 2) amending the Zoning Law (Chapter 190), 3) creating the New Scotland Hamlet zoning district, and 4) adding provisions to Chapter 190 regarding electric vehicle charging stations. The proposed law reclassifies lands in the NYS Route 85/85A corridor that were formerly classified as “Commercial” (and certain lands zoned “Residential Agriculture” or “Residential Hamlet”) as “Hamlet.” A copy of the proposed law is available on the Town’s website and at the Town Clerk’s office.
