NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Guilderland will accept sealed bids for: Grand Street over Bozenkill Tributary Culvert Replacement; Town of Guilderland, Albany County, NY (PIN 1762.03).
The culvert replacement project involves removing the existing culvert, installing precast box units, and reconstructing the approach roadway. The purpose of the project is to improve the hydraulic conditions and replace the deteriorated culvert. Off-site detours will be in place throughout construction. Utility work includes upgrading and replacing the sewer and water main. The project is 100% State Funded.
Contract will be awarded based upon the lowest qualified bid who complies with the project bid documents. A bid deposit and performance and payment bonds will be required for the project. Contract Documents, including Invitation to Bidders, Instructions to Bidders, Wage Rates, Bid Documents, Agreement, Special Notes, Specifications, Contract Drawings, and any Addenda are available by email.

Notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Berne, Albany County, NY will meet at the Berne Community and Senior Services Building, 1360 Helderberg Trail, Berne, NY 12023 on June 11, 2025 at 6:30 o’clock p.m., prevailing time, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing upon a proposal by said Town Board to undertake proposed improvements to the facilities of the Town of Berne Sewer District No. 1 pursuant to Section 202-b of the Town Law as hereinafter described, at which time and place said Town Board will meet to consider such proposition and hear all persons interested in the subject thereof and concerning the same.
The Town Board is considering a recommended work plan for improvements to Town of Berne Sewer District No. 1 as described in the engineering dated April 9, 2024 prepared by Lamont Engineers, P.C., consisting of improvements to the District wastewater treatment plant including disinfection of the wastewater treatment plant effluent, repair of sand filter liner, and related improvements, and including original furnishings, equipment, machinery and apparatus required therefor, at an estimated maximum cost not to exceed $100,000. The project cost is proposed to be financed pursuant to the Local Finance Law, and the Town has been notified of the award of a NYS DEC Water Quality Improvement Grant in the amount of up to $61,672 to reimburse a portion of such costs. Such Engineer’s report is on file in the Tow Clerk’s office for public inspection.
The Town Board has determined that such Project as described in the Engineer’s report constitutes a Type I action as defined under the State Environmental Quality Review Regulations, 6 NYCRR Part 617, and has determined that the proposed action will not have a significant impact on the environment.
All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard. All reasonable accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities.

The project includes the installation of approximately 1.11 miles of new ADA compliant sidewalks on the east side of Pine Street from the intersection of NY 85A (Maple Rd) to CR 306 (Voorheesville Ave), along the east side of CR 201 (N Main St) from Grove St to the driveway of 10 N Main Street, and along the south side of NY 85A (Maple Ave) from Stonington Hill Rd to the Vly Creek. Additionally, it involves the installation of new curb along NY 85A and portions of Pine Street within the above described work limits. This project is a Federal Aid project and NYSDOT Standard Specifications must be followed unless otherwise revised by these documents. The DBE goal for the project is 6%.
