Those having difficulty with understanding public presentations or films should rejoice

To the Editor:

There is help for the hard of hearing at the Guilderland Public Library.

State-of-the-art hearing access technology was showcased at the Guilderland Public Library last Thursday evening by the Hearing Loss Association of America Albany Chapter.

Those having difficulty with understanding public presentations or films should rejoice.

The Listen Everywhere App connects the library’s dedicated present Wi-Fi with Bluetooth from your smartphone to your earbuds for hearing aids.

There is also direct t-coil connectivity to hearing aids with portable infrared neck loop receivers, which also feature ear pieces for those who don’t have hearing aids but wish more clarity.

The library is also committed to closed captioning on movie night and with Zoom presentations.

Bravo, Guilderland Library!
