Celebrate at the Gallupville House with Abraham Lincoln

To the Editor:
On Saturday, Feb. 17, the public will have a wonderful and interesting opportunity to experience history and culture, and to celebrate Abraham Lincoln’s birthday.

The Lincoln’s Birthday Luncheon and Concert at the Historic Gallupville House (913 State Route 443) will take attendees back in time. Note, advance tickets are required.

Uncle Billy’s Balladeers interactive Theater Program will feature Peter Lindemann as President Abraham Lincoln. The theater concert will include a served luncheon for guests (featuring homemade stew and biscuits by members of the Gallupville House Association).

The program will start at 1 p.m. when President Lincoln will arrive and greet all. He will then make some remarks and we will all share lunch. Period dress is welcome but not required.

After lunch there will be a Q&A period with the president followed by a presentation of Seafaring music by The Iron Jacks (Civil War Naval Landing Party) and then an audience singalong of Civil War period camp music lead by Uncle Billy’s Balladeers (lyrics will be provided).

Visit the Gallupville House’s website www.gallupvillehouse.org to purchase tickets.
