Babie heads Wildwood

Nicole Babie

Nicole Babie is the new director of the Wildwood Foundation, which serves people with disabilities. She will lead the foundation’s fundraising initiatives.

The not-for-profit organization runs Camp Wildwood on Leesome Lane in Altamont.

The foundation, as of 2023, had $7.5 million in assets and $169,000 in liabilities, according to ProPublica.

Babie formerly worked as the Membership & Programs director at the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation. She is on the board of directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, New York Hudson-Mohawk Chapter and recently served as president for two years.

Wildwood was founded in 1967, its website says, when a group of parents found that their children did not fit neatly into existing programs. Wildwood now serves over 1,300 people and 2,000 families every year, offering educational programs, residential support, vocational training, and self-direction services.
