University at Albany graduate students are working with the town of Guilderland without pay to chart the future of trails and parks in town but their many hours of work are being logged so that the town can use that information when applying for grants to bring the students’ recommendations to reality.
Rensselaerville residents gathered at the New York State Park Police training facility to submit their opinions and learn more about proposed projects at the facility that could include reopening a firing range that was closed by a citizens’ lawsuit.
As part of an initiative to restore young forest habitats, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation discussed areas they will clearcut and make suitable for such habitats at the Margaret Burke Wildlife Management Area in Knox.
GUILDERLAND — The town of Guilderland is currently accepting registrations for its 2017 spring and summer youth programs. There are still openings in over 100 youth sports and enrichment camps as well as swim lessons and Tawasentha Park’s half-day camp.
