Plans are well underway for the 12th annual Community Caregivers Golf Outing, scheduled for Monday, June 20, at Orchard Creek Golf Course in Altamont.

ALTAMONT — Emmanuel Joseph Donato Sr. of Altamont, who generously shared his home-grown vegetables as well as his expertise in fixing engines, died at his home on Saturday, June 4, after a courageous battle. He was 63.

GUILDERLAND — Lamont Matthew Hungershafer Jr., a Korean War veteran and a world traveler, worked in the pharmaceutical business.

He “entered heaven peacefully” on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, his family wrote in a tribute. He was 87.
