Saturday morning, Guilderland Cross-Country hosted their final meet at Tawasentha Park against Niskayuna. On the cold and chilly morning, the Dutch lost on both the girls' 24 to 31 and Boys' 22 to 37.

On Friday afternoon, Guilderland boy's soccer traveled to CBA in the regular season finale before the Suburban Council Championships. The Dutch rallied from 2-to-0 at half to win 3 to 2.

ALTAMONT — Marion Louise Lawton, formerly of Altamont, had a secretarial career that lasted nearly half of a century and was seen by her family as a treasure.

She died peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, at the Warren Center in Queensbury, New York, surrounded by her loving family. She was 91.

“I had my life flashing before my eyes,” said Lisa Chrysler of the moment before her son saved her. “When he gave me the Heimlich, I bent over and, within 30 seconds, I felt it go away … He stayed so calm and has been so humble ever since.”

Randall S. Engel died unexpectedly while enjoying a round of golf on Friday, Nov. 6, in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. He was 67.

All Guilderland schools, including the middle school and high school with new coronavirus cases, are remaining open for in-person instruction.
