GUILDERLAND — “How wonderful to be in love!” wrote David Griggs-Janower, the founder, artistic director, and conductor of Albany Pro Musica, on the last release he dispatched for a concert.

Allegations have been made that Guilderland town board incumbents are involved in a pay-to-play scheme to get Independence Party endorsement. 

Most cars were unlocked in resident's driveways and overnight, from Aug. 8 to 9. Items such as GPS units, sunglasses, and iPods were stolen.

DELANSON — A southern, cultured woman, Fay Rusch nurtured four daughters as well as her own cross-bred orchid, “Fay’s Folly.”

Fay Knoll Rusch died on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, in Guilderland. She was 83.

Kevin Willsey, an Altamont mechanic charged with three felonies in relation to stolen vehicles, will have more time to decide if he should accept a plea deal from prosecutors.

The summer worship schedule at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 140 Maple Ave., in Altamont on Sunday, Sept. 1, is as follows:

The theme for this service is “Work and Witness,” a sermon for Labor Day, based on Second Thessalonians 3:6-13, by the pastor Gregory Zajac.

Aug. 15 was Armed Services Day when military personnel were admitted to the fair for free.

Police Chief Todd Pucci said a plea deal offering Kevin R. Willsey six months in jail for three felonies is fair since Willsey, an Altamont mechanic, had no prior arrests. Pucci said Willsey was a chop-shop  "customer."
