The central focus of next year's budget for the Guilderland Public Library is on setting aside funds to deal with problems arising in its 23-year-old building

"We actually have an election this year," said the school board president. Five candidates will vie for three board seats in the May 19 election.

Within 24 hours after the announcement, several prominent Democrats said they were interested in running for town supervisor.

“These are envisioning studies,” Donald Csaposs, the town's grantwriter, said of the neighborhood studies. “It’s a look at what’s possible in the future.”

GUILDERLAND — Marie Jeanne Beliveau, matriarch of the Beliveau family, was raised as a single child in Canada before eventually settling on a Guilderland farm. “Her dream,” her family wrote in a tribute, “was to have children — lots of them. God was good to her and blessed her with ten!”

Nine-year-old William Cleveland ended the school-bus bullying that had been tormenting his sister because the bullies knew of his expertise in taekwondo; he used his confidence but no force.

The Cleveland family competed last Saturday for attaining higher degrees in taekwondo. Related article.

State Farm Road was littered with pine needles when a tall tree fell toward the road on Aprill 11.

Guilderland police officers and school officials are reminding drivers to be careful around school buses with flashing lights, or face high fines and penalties.
