Plans are progressing to house outside pre-kindergarten programs in extra rooms at Altamont Elementary, Pine Bush Elementary, and Farnsworth Middle School.

ALTAMONT — Pearl M. Kelley, a teacher and volunteer, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, at Teresian House in Albany. She was 98.

Mrs. Kelley was born to Jacob and Elsie May.
She married Charles Kelley, who served as Altamont’s superintendent of public works until his death in the 1970s.

“First and foremost, this is a public-safety issue,” said Senator George Amedore at the press conference. “It’s also a quality of life issue.”

Kelly's three children, ranging in age from 7 to 13, were in the car at the time of his arrest, according to a Guilderland Police report.

The program includes CDTA’s regular routes services, STAR paratransit service, and the Northway Xpress Commuter service.

“I want to be fair and just,” Democrat Peter Barber said during his Election Night victory speech. “I want to get to know every town employee and as many residents as I can.”
