GUILDERLAND — Stuyvesant Plaza hosts its annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Neil Gifford of the Albany Pine Bush Preserve Commission said that Pyramid has already suggested adding about 8 acres of land north of the butterfly preserve as part of its mitigation for the proposed apartments on Rapp Road.

The company cannot “double dip,” he said, and claim that that proposed additional eight acres of butterfly habitat would also mitigate a higher theater. But what Pyramid could do, he said, is put in more money to support management efforts.

GUILDERLAND — Fifteen-year-old Gabriella Cusato, described by her family in a tribute as a “true spark of joy that blessed the lives of many,” died early Saturday morning, Nov 23, 2019. She was a sophomore at Guilderland High School.

After a video was shared widely online of a woman taking packages from a Guilderland home, the packages were returned.

Nearly a year after approving the rezone of 107-109 Helderberg Ave., which triggered a lawsuit over the decision, the Altamont Village Board again voted to rezone the property.

ALTAMONT — Greta Radley was a kind woman who always wore a smile; she was the type of person, her daughter Bonnie said, who “could hold her own in a conversation, whether it was telling tales of her life growing up or talking about the goings-on of the day.”

She died on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019. She was 92.
