GUILDERLAND — The Guilderland girls’ varsity lacrosse team has high hopes for the 2008 season.

 

Having grown up in suburban, post-World War II America, I am a flagrant waster of water. I run water over dishes as I wash them, unconcerned as the excess runs down the drain. My husband calls it “The Talking Waters.” I call it hydro-therapy.

GUILDERLAND — Just around the corner from the high school, in the Berean Baptist Church on Route 146, is the newest satellite for the Alpha Pregnancy Care Center.

NEW SCOTLAND — A year and a half after it was first requested, the senior overlay district is covering the town.

GUILDERLAND — With a plethora of players back, the Guilderland baseball team looks to be in good shape to defend its title.

 When I was a child, I loved my doctor, Frank De Rook. He had come from the Netherlands and practiced medicine with his wife from their family’s home on Fletcher Road in Guilderland.
