The 60-year-old electric-grid infrastructure that traverses both Guilderland and New Scotland will soon be the recipient of millions of dollars in upgrades.

The two “network aggregation points,” which look like 10-by-12-foot buildings, 8 feet high, are proposed for Rensselaerville and Berne.

NEW SCOTLAND — Under a proposed plan from the Municipal Electric and Gas Alliance, a not-for-profit development corporation, town residents could see a drop in their electric bills.

National Grid was contacted and immediately responded to the scene to fix the line.
