When Dennis Moore first came on the job the town had just purchased Tawasentha Park, and it was the only park Guilderland owned. The town now owns eight parks spread over nearly 600 acres.
GUILDERLAND — Troop 50 of the Boy Scouts of America celebrated our 50th year of scouting with a special dinner party on Saturday, June 21, at the parish center of our sponsor of 50 years, St. Madeleine Sophie Church.
The annual dinner by the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce at the Pinehaven Country Club celebrated some of the town's major developments, included prizes, and featured a motivational speaker.
Something uniquely Guilderland took place at the high school on May 14.
About 500 music students from grades five through high school presented a district-wide concert. It’s such a big deal it would be difficult to do on an annual basis so it is presented once every three years.
GUILDERLAND — Nestled just off Route 20 in Guilderland, rows of statues wind around a building and overflow behind it into a scape of small fishing boys, jesters, cats, and busts of ancient Greek deities.
Their fourth album — named 10 Years 2Late because, they joke, they are “10 years too late for a major recording contract” — consists of 14 original songs, about relationships, including budding relationships; full-blown love; and break-up songs.
