The memory of Wyatt Spencer lives on in a golf tournament and scholarship. Sept. 23 will be the Seventh Annual Wyatt Spencer Memorial — BKW Class of 2014 Golf Tournament.

In 2009, James Wyatt Spencer, a 13-year-old Berne-Knox-Westerlo student, was killed in a utility-vehicle accident. He would have graduated in 2014.

Friends of the late Doug Lawton present a check for more than $3,000 to the New York Oncology Hematology Community Cancer Foundation, from funds raised in a golf tournament.

Golf season is right around the corner; the days are getting longer and we can feel it in our bones.

Guilderland and Voorheesville varsity golf teams competed on Monday, Aug. 29, early in the season after each team had won one match and lost one match.

The fifth annual Wyatt Spencer Memorial – Berne-Knox-Westerlo Class of 2014 Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Colonie Country Club.

The Section 2 golf tournament was held in Altamont on Tuesday, and Guilderland's Will Burger didn't take many practice swings.

The Caitlin Clancy Golf Tournament benefit was held at the Western Turnpike Golf Course last Saturday in honor of the Guilderland High School graduate who died last year of complications from diabetes during her first semester of college.

It was a beautiful day for golf at Western Turnpike Golf Course on Monday, and Guilderland scored low.

Prizes include rounds of golf at Troy Country Club, The Edison Club, The Lazy Swan, Wiltwyck Country Club, Pinehaven CC, Hiland Country Club, Eagle Crest Golf Course, and Ballston Spa Country Club.

Ah Tuesday morning, and a beautiful start to a beautiful day on Aug. 20, at least in the little corner of this planet that the Old Men of the Mountain call home.
