A 100-year-old annual dinner will be replaced with a new fundraiser as the Knox Reformed Church “passes the torch” to its younger congregants.

GUILDERLAND — With low turnout in Thursday’s primary for Guilderland town judge, Bryan Clenahan bested Christine Napierski, securing both the Independence and Women’s Equality party lines for the Nov. 6 election. Napierski said on Friday that she will continue in the race.

The anti-incumbent mood that has been tossing out 10-term Congressmen, has come to New Scotland and its Democratic committee.

VOORHEESVILLE — These questions were posed to the two candidates, Michael Canfora and Cindy Monaghan, both incumbents on the Voorheesville School Board, seeking re-election on May 15 in an uncontested election:

Berne-Knox-Westerlo’s school board race will include incumbent Lillian Sisson-Chrysler and Berne Highway Superintendent Randy Bashwinger.
