Kimberly Lovell and Nathan Elble are incumbents. Helen Lounsbury, Martin Szinger, and Randy Bashwinger are challengers. Candidates were asked about the school budget, the capital project, and other issues facing the district in the coming school year.

GUILDERLAND — Three incumbents and two challengers are running for three seats on Guilderland’s board of education.

The town board seat soon to be left vacant by Eric Kuck will be contested in the general election by Dan Hanley and Ken Saddlemire.

VOORHEESVILLE — Cheryl Dozier was elected as Voorheesville Central School District’s Board of Education president by all members present during a reorganizational meeting on the morning of July 6.

Voters will elect a trustee and decide on the library’s $1.16 million budget on May 17 from 2 to 9 p.m. at the Voorheesville Middle School foyer.

GUILDERLAND — Incumbents Barbara Fraterrigo and Gloria Towle-Hilt are running again for the Guilderland School Board. They are joined by newcomer Teresa Gitto.

Colleen O’Connell is not seeking a fifth term.

The three-year terms on the nine-member board are at-large and unpaid.
