Artifacts were hard to come by in creating an exhibit of the Altamont Free Library’s 100-year history because it moved so often. So exhibit's curator relied on text.

Local artist Karin Kuck has brought a “virtual gallery” to the Altamont Free Library.

Without their own library, many Knox residents use libraries in Berne and Altamont but the town doesn't contribute funds commensurate with use.

Garage Sale Day is fast approaching and the Altamont Free Library will once again participate.  We will not only have our annual book sale, but we will also have a garage sale as well.

On Sunday, March 1, the Altamont Free Library Board of Trustees will host a staff appreciation reception from 2 to 4 p.m.

When the director of the Altamont Free Library was choosing whether to take the job in the village 10 years ago, she thought of her choice as between working in a cubicle or reading to children.
