On Sunday, Feb. 2, the Guilderland competitive cheer squad took to the mat at Scotia-Glenville High School for the 24th annual Scotia-Glenville Spirit Invitational in the Class A division. Guilderland showed off its acrobatics and team spirit, finishing in second place.

On Friday, Jan. 31, the Storm hockey team traveled to the Albany County Hockey Facility to battle the Christian Brothers Academy on a snowy evening. The Storm started slow but in the last two periods picked up the pressure but ultimately fell, 5 to 4.

On Sunday, Jan. 26, the Guilderland wrestling squad competed in the Queen Bison Invitational at Shaker High School against other top girls’ wrestling teams. The team finished 13th with 43.5 points.

On Friday, Jan. 24, the Guilderland girls’ basketball squad was on its home court as the team took on Shenendehowa on Teacher Appreciation Night. The Dutch kept the game close but Shen’s shooters woke up to put away Guilderland, 68 to 50.

Last Wednesday, Jan. 8, the Guilderland bowling squad kicked off their second half of the season with a home match against Christian Brothers Academy at Town n’ Country. The Dutch dominated the lanes as they won 24-to-8 (3604-3329 in total pins).
