Thompson’s Lake State Park in East Berne will host its annual Ice Fishing Contest on Feb. 1.

Registration begins at 5:30 a.m. Fishing and fish measurement will be held from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration fee is $10 per person. 

Children under the age of 12 fish for free. Registration fees will be used directly for cash prizes. Prizes will be offered in three categories — perch, pickerel, and trout. Prizes will be awarded at 1 p.m.

Patrons may bring their own skates and snowshoes if they wish to participate in skating or snowshoeing. Hot food and refreshments will be available.
