Albany Figure Skating Club announces basic lessons

The Albany Figure Skating Club is offering its popular United States Figure Skating (USFS)-sanctioned basic skills program this fall, providing ice skating instruction for skaters of all ages, abilities, and interests.

Two sessions of group skating lessons will be held on Saturdays from October 5 through November 23 at the Bethlehem Area YMCA (900 Delaware Ave., Delmar, NY 12054) at noon and 2 p.m. Skaters can choose from six week and eight week options.

Recreational, figure skaters, and hockey skaters aged preschool to adult are welcome. Skaters will have a 30-minute group lesson and 30 minutes of supervised practice. Specialty classes will be offered in addition to the group lessons, including classes in Learn to Compete, Synchronized Skating, and Moves in the Field.

Detailed information about the programs and registration forms are available on the Albany Figure Skating Club’s website, www.albanyfsc.org. Contact Program Director Karla Schallehn at 413-388-4773 or or more information.
