High school sweethearts, Roy Jones and Charlotte Crawford, daughter of Clyde and Millie, graduated together and were married on August 3, 1951 in the Reidsville Methodist Church by Rev. Russell Greene of St. Pauls Lutheran now Helderberg Lutheran. 

Their first son, Roy Jr. was born a year later followed by Bruce, Karen, and Dale.

They are blessed with 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-greats. 

Charlotte’s great-grandparents, Frank and Charlotte McMillen celebrated their 65th before they died in 1955. So Dale didn’t make it into the 5 generation pictures as the others did. Charlotte made 5 generations as a baby, a mother, a grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

They have lived in the house across the road from the one Roy grew up in for 52 years. His father Howard, lived there all of his 90 years, 63 with his wife, Lillian. His grandparents, Ackland and Sarah, lived there from their marriage in 1875 til their deaths.
