GUILDERLAND — Patricia M. Napierski died on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Teresian House Nursing Home with her loving family by her side.

Ms. Napierski was born on December 3, 1941 in Albany to the late Thomas J. and Mary R. Murphy.

She was a graduate of Vincentian Institute, and the College of Saint Rose. She received her master’s degree in Business Education from State University of New York at Albany. In addition to putting her husband through law school and raising her family, Ms. Napierski held many different positions over her long career including business teacher and bookkeeper. She retired as a property manager at Oxford Heights Apartments in 2003.

"Pat will be remembered for her love of reading, animals, going to the beach, shopping, spending time with her grandchildren, and her infectious laugh," her family wrote in a tribute. "Her passion in life was her family. They will cherish all of their memories of family picnics, holidays, and vacations."

Her three brothers — Thomas, John and Joseph Murphy died before her.

She is survived by her four loving children, Christine Napierski, Gene Napierski, Michelle (Andrew) Napierski-Prancl and Daniel (Kelly) Napierski; her former husband, Eugene E. Napierski; her 10 grandchildren, Reece, Ryan, Devon, Colin, Luke, Trevor, McKenna, Gavan, Brian and Kyra; her two sisters; Mickey (Frank) Mendel and Mary Ellen (Michael) Majkut; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, on Monday, June 20 from 4 p.m. 7 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Christ the King Church, at 20 Sumter Ave. in Guilderland at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21. Burial will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.

Donations may be made in Pat’s name to the Teresian House Nursing Home, 200 Washington Ave. Extension, Albany, New York 12203.
