To the Editor:

I work Tuesdays as a Kitchen Angel, preparing meals for the Altamont Seniors. As a group, we are trying to reach out to more seniors.

We serve lunch, at 11:30 a.m. every Tuesday, at the St. Lucy/St. Bernadette Parish Center on Grand Street. Instead of eating lunch alone, people come and meet new friends and play games together.

Anyone over the age of 60 will be served lunch and dessert, with a menu that changes every week. Partners are welcome, too.

Door-to-door bus rides are available for those without transportation.

We also take trips, to places like Cooperstown, the Adirondacks, and Hyde Park, and host concerts.
