VILLAGE NOTES

A slight fire in the home of Earl Teter on Park street called out the Hose company at about 7:30 this morning. The fire was caused by an overheated stove pipe which passed through the floor of the second story before entering the chimney. Rapid work with an axe and a few pails of water extinguished the fire before the arrival of the apparatus. The damage was slight.
