Historic Altamont is excited to announce a ribbon-cutting celebration.

Using Albany County American Rescue Plan Act grant funds, Historic Altamont has built an Altamont Community Kiosk that will be used to promote outdoor activities, nearby attractions and local businesses. 

The kiosk will be a trail hub and the new end-to-end point of the Long Path, an over 350-mile hiking trail stretching from Manhattan to Altamont.

We invite the public to join us for the unveiling of this new Altamont landmark. There will be a tent, live music, food, and activities for the kids. Many local organizations will be participating.

The date is Saturday, Sept. 27, from noon to 3 p.m. The celebration will be held in Altamont’s beautiful Orsini Park. We will cut the ribbon at noon and hope you will join us.
