Richard H. LaGrange

WESTERLO — Richard H. LaGrange, a lifelong resident of Westerlo and a race enthusiast, died peacefully in the Schenectady Center on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025. He was 77.

Born on Nov. 26, 1947, he was the son of Betty and the late Sidney Gibbs-LaGrange. He was also the beloved husband of Glenis Carl-LaGrange. 

“A graduate of Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School, Class of 1966, Rick was a lifelong resident of Westerlo,” his family wrote in a tribute. “An avid race enthusiast, Rick had a lifelong interest in any kind of racing, ranging from stock cars to dirt modified racing. Rick was a retiree of Trinity Construction.”

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Lynn (Don Marks), Lisa (Andy) Howland, and Beth(Dave Jurich) LaGrange, and by his grandchildren, Kimberly and Jodie Howland.

He is also survived by his siblings, Robert and Nancy. 

His siblings Ronald LaGrange,Barbara Moak, and Lois Deck died before him. 

Following his wishes, all services were held privately.
