Wally Jones will regale us to raise funds for hurricane victims
To the Editor:
Recovery from devastating floods takes more than just a couple of months, to which any locals who witnessed Tropical Storm Irene back in 2011 can attest. Therefore, Wally Jones, musician extraordinaire, is holding another concert to benefit the victims of hurricanes Helene and Milton.
The concert will be held at the Westerlo Reformed Church at 566 State Route 143 in Westerlo, on Saturday, April 26, at 2 p.m.
Special guests will include Rustic Chill Music Ministry, a local band that features “laid back acoustic music that flows like an endless river deep into the hearts of the listener” and violinist/violist Michelle Cenci of Slingerlands.
Wally will also regale us with his unique style on the keyboard. The funds collected will be forwarded to Samaritan’s Purse to support ongoing relief efforts for the hurricane victims.
The concert will be followed by a potluck supper in the fellowship hall. Please bring a dish to share. I look forward to seeing you there!
