African-American contributions should not be repressed

To the Editor:

I enjoyed the article in the Feb. 13, 2025 paper on the “‘Pivotal Role’ of African-American labor” and the origin of Black History Month.

The bigots in control of Washington would prefer that this history, as well as the present contributions of African Americans, be repressed and forgotten.

I am glad that The Enterprise is not on board with that.
