Miss Furbeck Was Injured

In Auto Accident

Miss Abby Furbeck, youngest daughter of Rev. and Mrs. George W. Furbeck of Ridgefield, N. J., formerly of Altamont, was seriously injured in an automobile accident at Pelham, N. Y., Saturday, Sept. 27th. Miss Furbeck had attended the wedding of one of her friends, at which her father was the officiating clergyman. The young people followed up the bridal party, and in taking a corner the automobile swiped a tree. Miss Furbeck was on that side of the car. Her head was cut and her body was injured quite badly.

Her father writes very encouragingly of her present condition, and hopes for her early recovery and return home. She was taken to the Mount Vernon hospital where she is receiving every care possible, and everything now points to a speedy recovery. Miss Furbeck has many friends in Altamont and vicinity who will be pleased to learn that she was not injured as badly as at first reported.
