Albany man charged with retail thefts at Crossgates, Market 32

GUILDERLAND — An Albany man was arrested on April 17 for a string of retail thefts in Guilderland.

Damir A. Willis, 27, was taken into custody on a bench warrant and four arrest warrants, all issued from Guilderland Town Court.

He was wanted for larcenies and burglaries at Crossgates Mall and Market 32, according to a release from the Guilderland Police who worked with the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office in making the arrest.

Willis was charged with third-degree bail jumping, petit larceny, third-degree burglary, and two counts of third degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny.

He has several outstanding warrants with surrounding police agencies.

Willis was arraigned on April 18 at Guilderland Town Court and remanded to Albany County’s jail.
