Public asked to comment on goals for town’s future

GUILDERLAND — As it updates its comprehensive plan, the town is holding an open house on Monday, Feb. 12, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Guilderland Town Hall, located at 5209 Western Turnpike.

The public is invited to engage with a series of activity stations, each at his, her, or their own pace, reacting to preliminary recommendations. The project website at www.pathwaytoguilderlandsfuture.com has details about the event and the update effort.

The draft recommendations are aimed at achieving a series of goals for agriculture, the environment, housing, business, recreation, and transportation.

The information gathered from the open house will help the Comprehensive Plan Update Committee better understand community priorities for the future of Guilderland, according to a release from the town.
