Kimball F. Miller

PULASKI — Kimball F. Miller of Pulaski “left this world peacefully to join his wife and two children” his family wrote in a tribute.

Mr. Miller died on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse. He was 78.

He was born Aug. 21, 1945, in Utica, the son of Jack and Janet Kimball Miller. He graduated from Guilderland High School in 1964.

He served in the United States Air Force for the 380th Transportation Squadron as sergeant from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1972.

“Kimball was married to Mary Murtha Miller on May 31, 1991 until her death on June 12, 2015,” his family wrote. “He was a lifelong chef, entrepreneur, artist, and a building contractor. Kim was a golf and culinary enthusiast and member of the Elms Golf Club where he played in many leagues over the years.”

Kimball F. Miller is survived by one son, Troy (Linda) Miller of Altamont, and stepchildren Amy (Mark) Dobrzynski of Pulaski, Shane (Shelly) Peabody of Mexico, Shannon Peabody of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and Kaitlin (Nick) Gibides of Pulaski.

He is also survived by grandchildren, Madison, Christian, Sadie, Cameron, Courtney, Hunter, Kyleigh, Elliott, Eleanor, David, and Nicholas, and by one brother, Eric (Jan) Miller of Guilderland.

His beloved wife, Mary Murtha Miller, died before him, as did two children, Scott Miller and Stacy Miller Zounes.

His family is having a Remembrance of Life on Friday, Jan. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Bunker at 2390 Western Ave. in Guilderland. All are welcome.

Memorial contributions may be made in his late wife Mary’s name to the American Cancer Society or the United Friends of Homeless Animals at 432 Centerville Road, Richland, NY  13144.
