Hawaiian Oktoberfest at Indian Ladder Farms to support Maui fund

Money raised at an Hawaiian Oktoberfest at Indian Ladder Farms on Oct. 14 and 15 will support the Maui Strong Fund.

NEW SCOTLAND — In the wake of the Maui wildfires, funds raised at the Sixth Annual Hawaiian Oktoberfest will go to the Maui Strong Fund through the Hawai’i Community Foundation.

Indian Ladder Farms Cidery & Brewery will host the event in its new Pizza Garden on Oct. 14 and 15 from noon to 6 p.. Each day.

The Swingin’ Palms will play both days from 2 to 3 p.m. and again from 4 to 5 p.m. Guests can drink from hollowed pineapples and can eat Hawaiian Oktoberfest Pizza with barbecue sauce, smoked mozzarella, bacon, and a pineapple chutney.

“Our hearts go out to the many who were affected by the fires in Maui,” said Dieter Gehring, co-owner of the Cidery & Brewery in a release publicizing the oktoberfest. “When the team was planning this event, it was a collective decision to use this event as an opportunity to support those in Hawai’i. We encourage everyone to come out, have some food and delicious beverages, and support those in need.”

There is no admission to attend.
