It is not too late to register to vote in this November’s election
To the Editor:
Who knew? Did you know that the fastest growing number of voters in the town of Bethlehem are not Democrats or Republicans but independent or unaffiliated voters?
Did you know that many independent voters were not happy with any choices available to them in the last eight years and therefore chose not to vote in any of the elections?
Here is the real surprise: Did you know that, if you have not voted in the last eight years, you are no longer a registered voter?
I was very surprised, as were many of my friends. Fear not, as it is not too late to register to vote in this November’s election.
Let’s show the established parties that there is finally an independent candidate that is worth voting for in November. Please register to vote and then vote for Kellin Rowlands.
He will represent you, not a national party. He will give the citizens of the town of Bethlehem a voice. He will listen to you not to “the party line.”
He will do what’s best for Bethlehem, not what’s best for Senator Charles Schumer, Governor Kathy Hochul or the Albany County Democratic Committee.
Here is how to register to vote:
— 1. Online: Go to “Register to vote in New York State.” You will find “How to register to vote.” Please pay attention to the deadlines that are listed there. You can use the New York State Election website, the Department of Motor Vehicles’ electronic voter registration if you have a state driver’s license or the state Board of Elections website’s voter registration portal;
— 2. In person: Go to the Albany County Board of Elections at 260 South Pearl St. (the former Department of Motor Vehicles , any New York State Agency-based voter registration center or the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles at 855 Central Ave. in Albany; or
— 3. By phone and mail: Call 1-800-367-8683 to request a voter application.
Please, if you are not registered to vote, use one of the above methods to register and please vote for Kellin Rowlands, a man who will finally give the citizens of Bethlehem a voice in what is happening in our town.
Kellin will not be a puppet on a string dancing to the whims of outside forces. He will be your voice.
