Eastern Honey Producers

Pool Their Buying Orders —

Save Money by Co-operative

Buying Of Supplies.

The secretary of the Eastern New York Honey Producers Co-operative Association, Inc., has received pooling orders representing several thousand dollars to date. These and others will be placed with G. B. Lewis company of Albany, with a saving of several hundred dollars to its members purchasing in this manner. A liberal discount is obtained by buying in quantity, that cannot be allowed on small single purchases.

Orders have come in from all over the state, showing that this new move to save dollars is appreciated.

The officers of the association are: President Charles Stewart, Johnstown; vice-president, R. V. Cox, Sloansville; secretary, Walter Severson, Altamont; treasurer, W. D. Wright, Altamont.

VILLAGE NOTES

Last week’s issue of the Enterprise contained a local notice of the death of George Trustan, jr., only child of Mr. and Mrs. George Trustan of this village. The child had been dangerously ill of pneumonia at the home of his grandparents in Voorheesville. A story was circulated Friday morning that the child had died Thursday night, and from reliable information we took the privilege of writing the notice. We are glad to report that the boy is improving, and will return home with his mother in a few days.

CLARKSVILLE

A new village directory will have to be issued after April 1st — there will be so many changes.

DELANSON

Frank Alexander has recently put in an incubator with a sixteen hundred egg capacity. Later in the season he will have baby chicks to sell. They will be pure bred white leghorns.
RENSSELAERVILLE

— Everyone is praising our state nurse, Miss Brown, who is located here, for her continuous efforts in caring for the sick. She is kept busy now, and I wonder what we would have done without her.

— The sympathy of the village is with Mrs. Austin Davis and family. Mr. Davis passed away at their home just outside of the village, as a result of influenza. Mrs. Davis and their only daughter Ella Mae were ill of the same disease in the village where Miss Davis was boarding and attending high school. The funeral was held at the Baptist church.

GUILDERLAND CENTER

Mrs. William Ellers had the misfortune on Monday night to scald her right hand in a way that has caused her great pain. She was moving a pan of water which was spilled over and the steam therefrom caused this furious scalding. Several hours elapsed before she, with the assistance of neighbors, could quiet the pain. Dr. Hurst was in Albany and did not reach Mrs. Ellers until Tuesday afternoon. Her many friends hope for a speedy recovery.

NOTICE

To Whom It May Concern: I wish to contradict the statement which appeared in the Schenectady Gazette of March 13th, and other papers, and state that I left my husband, William B. Jewett, with just cause and provocation, and was forced to seek employment in order to properly support myself and my little girl.
