FORT HUNTER FIRE DISTRICT Legal Notice of Public Hearing on the Budget 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Proposed Budget of the Fort Hunter Fire District of the Town of Guilderland, State of New York, will be presented to the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Fort Hunter Fire District, for its consideration. 
A PUBLIC HEARING will be held at 7:00 p.m, at the Fort Hunter Fire Station, 3525 Carman Road, Schenectady, New York 12303, in the Town of Guilderland, State of New York on the 17th day of October 2022. 
Pursuant to Town Law Section 105, the Board of Fire Commissioners must hold a public hearing on the budget, make the proposed budget available to the public prior to the public hearing, allow the public to comment on the budget at the public hearing. This public hearing must be held to allow maximum public participation in the hearing. 
The purpose of the public hearing is to allow any person to be heard in favor of or against the proposed budget as it is submitted, or for or against any items or items contained in the proposed budget, and hearing all persons interested in the subject concerning same. 
That a copy of the proposed budget is available at the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Guilderland at Western Turnpike, Guilderland N.YI 12084 and Fire District Secretary at 3525 Carman Road, Schenectady, New York 12303, where it may be inspected by any interested person during office hours 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. NOTICE OF SPECIAL DISTRICT MEETING
VOORHEESVILLE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT,
IN THE COUNTY OF ALBANY, NEW YORK
DECEMBER 6, 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to a resolution of the Board of Education of the Voorheesville Central School District, in the County of Albany, New York, adopted on October 3, 2022, a Special District Meeting of the qualified voters of said School District will be held on
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2022
from 2:00 o’clock P.M. to 9:00 o’clock P.M. (Prevailing Time) in the Voorheesville Middle School Foyer, 432 New Salem Road, Voorheesville, New York, for the purpose of voting upon the following two Propositions:
BOND PROPOSITION
RESOLVED:
(a)    That the Board of Education of the Voorheesville Central School District, in the County of Albany, New York (the “District”), is hereby authorized to undertake a capital improvement project (the “Project”), substantially as described in a plan prepared by the District, (the “Plan”), which report is on file and available for public inspection at the office of the District Clerk; including: (i) the construction of improvements and alterations to the Voorheesville Elementary School and site, including, interior reconstruction and space reconfiguration; improvements to the lighting, fire safety, plumbing and building systems; roof work; replacement of ceilings, stairs, flooring and doors; and site improvements including outdoor learning area, sidewalk and paving enhancements, at the estimated cost of $10,059,874; and (ii) the construction of a new bus garage, at the estimated cost of $15,216,189; all of the foregoing to include the original furnishings, equipment, machinery, apparatus and ancillary or related site, demolition and other work required in connection therewith; and to expend therefor, including preliminary costs and costs incidental thereto and to the financing thereof, an amount not to exceed the estimated total cost of $25,276,063; provided that the costs of the components of the Project as set forth herein and in detail in the plan may be reallocated among such components if the Board of Education shall determine that such reallocation is in the best interests of the District;
(b)    that the amount of not to exceed $1,000,000 from the District’s “Building Project Reserve Fund-2017” is hereby authorized to be expended to pay for a portion of the cost of the Project and further that the amount of not to exceed $3,500,000 from the District’s “Building Project Reserve Fund-2018” is also hereby authorized to be expended to pay for a portion of the cost of the Project;
(c)    that a tax is hereby voted in the amount of not to exceed $20,776,063 to pay the balance of the cost of the Project, such tax to be levied and collected in installments in such years and in such amounts as shall be determined by said Board of Education; and that in anticipation of said tax, bonds of the District are hereby authorized to be issued in the aggregate principal amount of not to exceed $20,776,063 and a tax is hereby voted to pay the interest on said bonds as the same shall become due and payable.
ENERGY PERFORMANCE PROPOSITION
RESOLVED:
That the Board of Education of the Voorheesville Central School District, in the County of Albany, New York, (the “District”) is hereby authorized to construct energy efficiency and conservation improvements to District facilities, as authorized by Article 9 of the Energy Law and Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, at an estimated cost of $2,000,000, such amount to be financed, in anticipation of the realization of energy cost savings, pursuant to an energy performance contract.
Such Propositions shall appear on the ballots used for voting at said Special District Meeting in substantially the following condensed forms:

The voting will be conducted by ballot as provided in the Education Law and the polls will remain open from 2:00 o’clock P.M. to 9:00 o’clock P.M. (Prevailing Time) and as much longer as may be necessary to enable the voters then present to cast their ballots.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the applications for absentee ballots may be obtained at the District Office, 432 New Salem Road, Voorheesville, New York during regular business hours, Monday to Friday.  Completed applications must be returned to the office of the District Clerk not later than 5:00 o’clock P.M. (Prevailing Time) on November 30, 2022, for an absentee ballot to be mailed to the voter, or the day before said Special District Meeting, if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter.  Absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk not later than 5:00 o’clock P.M., (Prevailing Time), on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a list of all persons to whom absentee ballots shall have been issued will be available in the office of the District Clerk from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. prevailing time on each of the five days prior to the day of said Special District Meeting, except weekends, and on the day set for the Special District Meeting.  Any qualified voter may challenge the acceptance of the ballot of any person on such list, by making his/her challenge and reasons therefore known to the Inspector of Election before the close of the polls.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that Military Voters who are not currently registered to vote may request an application to register as a qualified voter of the District and Military Voters who are registered to vote may request an application for a military ballot by contacting the District Clerk at 432 New Salem Road, Voorheesville, New York, Telephone 518-765-3313 ext. 101 or email: , for the Special District Meeting on December 6, 2022.  The Military Voter may indicate their preference for receiving the registration application and/or application for military ballot by mail, facsimile or email.  The application to register and the application for military ballot must be received by the District Clerk no later than 5:00 P.M. (Prevailing Time) on November 10, 2022.  Military ballots will be mailed or otherwise distributed no later than 25 days before the election.  Military ballots must be returned by mail or in person and received by the District Clerk by 5:00 o’clock P.M. (Prevailing Time) on December 6, 2022.
AND FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the qualified voters of the School District shall be entitled to vote in said Special District Meeting and Election.  A qualified voter is one who is (1) a citizen of the United States of America, (2) eighteen (18) years of age or older, and (3) resident within the School District for a period of thirty (30) days preceding the Special District Meeting and Election.  The School District may require all persons offering to vote at the budget vote and election to provide one form of proof of residency pursuant to Education Law section 2018-c.  Such form may include a driver’s license, a non-driver identification card, a utility bill, or a voter registration card.  Upon offer of proof of residency, the School District may also require all persons offering to vote to provide their signature, printed name and address.
