Reginald D. Flansburg

ALTAMONT — Reginald D. Flansburg of Altamont, a mason who built his own stone house, died on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at St. Peter’s Hospital. He was 80.

He was born in Albany on Jan. 26, 1942 to the late Donald and Emily (née Pospitical) Flansburg.

“Reggie was a mason,” his family wrote in a tribute. “He built his house himself from flagstone he picked up in his travels. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

“Reggie liked to take long walks with his dog in the woods. He liked to work outdoors on his property, mowing and keeping things up. He enjoyed staying busy. He and Sheila had a camp on Canadarago lake where he would fish off his boat in the summer.”

He is survived by his loving partner of over 30 years, Sheila Nolette; by his son, Reginald Flansburg Jr., and his wife, Dawn; by his daughter, Debbie Price, and her husband, Scott; and by his grandchildren, Brandon, Brett, Justin, and Amanda, as well as by three great-grandchildren.

Services will be private.
