TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF LOCAL LAW
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York that a public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Rensselaerville on March 10, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. at Rensselaerville Town Hall, located at 87 Barger Road, Medusa, New York 12120, for the purpose of considering the adoption of Local Law No. 1 of 2022. If adopted, Local Law No. 1 of 2022 would establish a permit program with respect to new or extended driveways connecting to public roads within the jurisdiction of the Town of Rensselaerville. Written comments on Local Law No. 1 of 2022 can be submitted to the Town Clerk up and through the time of the public hearing. A copy of proposed Local Law No. 1 of 2022 can be obtained at the Rensselaerville Town Hall and on the Town’s website.

Sealed bids will be received by the Town of East Greenbush at: Town of Guilderland at: Town Clerk, Lynne Buchanan, Guilderland Town Hall, 5209 Western Turnpike, P.O. Box 339, Guilderland, New York, 12084 until 11:00 am, Friday, March 25, 2022, after which they will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Town Board Room.
The owner is the Town of Guilderland and the work site is in the Town of Guilderland. The sidewalk to be constructed is located along US 20 from Mercy Care Dr to the Hamilton Square Driveway.
The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Constructions of new ADA and PROWAG sidewalks and ramps, new curb installation, and drainage improvements.
This is a Federal Aid Project and NYSDOT Standard Specifications, officially finalized and adopted on September 1, 2021 as posted on the New York State Department of Transportation’s website must be followed by the successful bidder. The DBE goal for this project is 6.0%. The EEO employment goals for this project are a 3.2% minority employment goal and 6.9% women employment goal. The use of the NYSDOT approved civil rights reporting software, Equitable Business Opportunities (EBO), is required. No residential or geographical restrictions will be in effect for this project. Federal requirements will take precedent over State and local requirements, unless state and local requirements are deemed to be more stringent.

Contractors that obtain bid documents from a source other than the issuing office must notify the issuing office in order to be placed on the official plan holder’s list, receive addenda and other bid correspondence.

. No Questions will be accepted after 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022. Answers to all questions will be answered and communicated to all bidders on the official Plan Holders List via email by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
Bids received from Contractors not on the official Plan Holders list will not be accepted.
A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held for this project.
All bids must be made on the official Bid Form and Bid Summary Form or an exact copy by reproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealed envelope. This is a unit price bid as described in the Instructions to Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the base bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price.
A New York State Department of Transportation Highway Work Permit will be required to be obtained by the contractor for all work along US 20 including Work Zone Traffic Control devices. NYSDOT Permits are available for download from the New York State Department of Transportation website; www.nysdot.gov. The Contractor shall be listed as a co-applicant with the Town of East Greenbush on the permit.
The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of the Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses issued by the Secretary of Labor on May 21, 1968 and published in the Federal Register (41CFR Part 60-1, 33 F.2 7804).
