BERNE — Lewis “George” Wisler died on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, at his Berne home surrounded by his family. He was 64.
He was born on Dec. 11, 1957 to Lewis and Joan (née Kelly) Wisler in La Mesa, California.

He worked as a roofer and welder for Kelly’s Roofing in Lakeside, California. He moved to the Albany area from California in November 2001 to be with his kids.

“George loved spending time with his family,” his family wrote in a tribute. “He also enjoyed the rodeo, cars, racing, and his dog Copper. He especially loved taking long rides on his motorcycle.”

He is survived by his son, Brian Wisler and his wife, Jennifer; by his daughters, Kelly Jo Wisler and Hailey Wisler; by his mother, Joan Wisler; and by his father, George Wisler Jr. and his wife, Pat, as well as by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals at 343 New Karner Road in Colonie, New York.
