Helen B. Reals

Helen Banas Reals, of Saratoga Springs — one of the first female police officers in Los Angeles, and the first female reader at St. Lucy’s Parish in Altamont — died on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020. She was 92.

A Memorial Mass will be held for Mrs. Reals at Holy Cross Church-Dewitt at 4112 E Genesee St. in Syracuse, New York on Aug. 18 at 1:30 p.m. Visiting with the family begins at 12:30 p.m. at the same location.
