Thefts reported in Fort Hunter area

GUILDERLAND — Guilderland Police continue to receive reports of thefts from unlocked motor vehicles during the overnight hours.

Recent reports have been received from the Fort Hunter area of town, which is in the vicinity of Carman Road, according to a notice from the police

Guilderland Police advise residents to remove valuable items from their vehicles and lock their vehicles as well as their homes and shed. “Use outside lighting, alarms, and security cameras if available,” the notice says.

The police also urge residents to report any suspicious people or vehicles immediately. Anyone who has information on recent thefts or has home security video is asked to contact Investigator Matt Hanzalik at 518-356-1501, ext. 1114.
