Karl Hofer’s generosity lives on

To the Editor:

We recently learned of the passing of long-time Guilderland resident Karl Hofer.

Karl was a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Western Turnpike and contributed much to the improvement of our town. Together with members of the Kiwanis Club of Western Turnpike, Karl designed and constructed several structures at Tawasentha Park.

These include the map kiosk near the swimming pool and a second one located at the community gardens as well as a picnic pavilion and food-contribution kiosk also located at the community gardens.

Karl will be long remembered for his generosity and support of these town projects.
