VILLAGE NOTES.
— The Guilderland Sunday School Picnic association will hold their annual picnic in Martin Blessing’s grove, Fullers, on Wednesday of next week, August 18. Each school will meet at their respective church about 9:30 o’clock, old time, and proceed to the grove. The dinner at the grove will be spread on tables set up by the respective Sunday schools.
— On Sunday afternoon, while J. C. Fratts and his daughter, Hazel, were idling on the State road near Osborn’s Corners, an automobile, owned and driven by Schenectady people, made an attempt to pass the motor cycle in which Mr. Fratts was riding and turned in ahead too soon, catching fast to the handle bar and upsetting the machine. The daughter escaped unhurt, but Mr. Fratts was badly bruised about the head and shoulders. Fortunately both machines were going slowly, which probably saved them from being killed outright.
