NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that the Village of Voorheesville will accept sealed bids for: Voorheesville Pedestrian Connectivity Project. Project consists of the installation of concrete sidewalks along Altamont Road, Maple Avenue and Voorheesville Avenue in the Village of Voorheesville, Albany County.  Other project features include drainage modifications, driveway rehabilitation, and installation of curb, roadway signage, striping, and landscaping.

Contract will be awarded based upon the lowest qualified bid.  Contract Documents, including Invitation to Bidders, Instructions to Bidders, Wage Rates, Bid Documents, Agreement, Special Notes, Specifications, Contract Drawings and any Addenda, may be examined at no expense at the office of Creighton Manning Engineering, 2 Winners Circle, Albany, NY 12205 or at the Village of Voorheesville Offices, 29 Voorheesville Avenue, Voorheesville, NY 12186.

USB drives containing digital versions of the plans and specifications may be obtained at the office of Creighton Manning Engineering during business hours. There is no charge for USB drives. Pick up of Plans and Specifications to be mailed must be arranged for individually with the shipping company. No questions or inquiries regarding this bid will be accepted within three (3) business days prior to the bid opening. 

The project funding includes Federal Funding that is subject to a DBE Goal of 0%.

Bids to be considered must be received in a sealed envelope at the Village of Voorheesville Offices, 29 Voorheesville Avenue, Voorheesville, NY 12186 1:00 PM, local time, on October 25, 2019 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Bids received after the above noted time will not be accepted.  All sealed envelopes should be clearly labeled “BID FOR VOORHEESVILLE PEDESTRIAN CONNECTIVITY PROJECT”.  The sealed bids shall include the completed Bid Form, Non-Collusive Bidding Certification (as required by chapter 956 of the Laws of New York State), and Bid Bond.

A PUBLIC HEARING will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Guilderland Center Fire Station, 30 School Road, Guilderland Center, NY 12085, in the Town of Guilderland, State of New York on Tuesday, October 15, 2019.
