Betty Rocker

KNOX — Betty (née Pugh) Rocker, a mother of four children who lived in Knox for a decade, died in Falls Church, Virginia on July 1, 2019. She was 94,

 She was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Feb. 27, 1925, and grew up there.

She lived in Knox from 1955 to 1965, and then moved to Schenectady. From Schenectady, she moved to Falls Church, Virginia and worked in Washington, D.C.

Betty Rocker is survived by her daughter, Marcella Pudney of Saint Petersburg, Florida; her son, William Rocker of Colorado; and her four grandchildren: Jason Rocker, Matthew Rocker, Adam Brewington, and Bryan Brewington. 

Her son, Charles Rocker, and daughter, Jean (née Rocker) Brewington, died before her, as did a grandson and great-granddaughter.

A memorial will be held at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Arlington, Virginia, on Oct. 14, at 11 a.m.
